The Elephant Ears plant became a favorite of mine in 1980, when I produced a children’s television show “Pirates & Elephant Ears.” The show was set at the scene of a giant Elephant Ears plant, on the shores of West Vancouver. The plant is branded for its big leaf size in the shape of an elephant’s ear.

In my more than twenty-five years as a trainer and facilitator, and in my earlier teaching at Simon Fraser University and The University of Victoria, I have come to believe that the key to successful work and personal relationships is what I call “full, radical listening.” This demands Big Ears, Big Listening, Elephant Ears Listening.
Combining my affinity for this plant with my experience of the power of listening in the workplace, led me to name my company Elephant Ears Training. I am based in Burnaby, British Columbia.
I help people increase their happiness and effectiveness at work. My goal is to maximize employee contribution across your entire organization.

I have a passion for travel. My most recent adventure was gorilla trekking in Uganda. You’ll also find me cycling, skiing, meditating or playing my ukulele.
